(More) Amy's Ramblings

Mechanical engineer, sports follower, gamer, lover of the offbeat, music nut, linuxchick, writer, and social geek.

Currently, I seem to be addicted to Old Hollywood (including Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Cary Grant, etc, etc) so you'll be seeing a lot of pictures/videos/quotes related to that. Also addicted to video games, Sherlock Holmes (Brett!Holmes and Cumberbatch!Holmes), fanfiction, pretty pictures of anything, and music. Also geekiness. Lots of geekiness. Enjoy what you find.

I've recently started contributing to Gene Kelly Fans, created by the incredibly awesome Kelli Marshall.

I’ve heard people saying that people who like Glee are flooding the servers causing Tumblr to go down. *shrugs* Either way, I don’t like it! D:

    Glee of all things.

    Sheesh.

    GLEE?????

    Of all things, apparently, yes.

Glee is ok.  I don’t know.  I’m watching an American Experience about Jesse James.

    Sheesh.

Good thing this man isn’t sitting across from me at work.  I’d get no work done.

    None whatsoever.

What a beautiful picture of him.

kellyakabilly replied to your post: kellyakabilly replied to your post: Two days done…

Strike up a friendship. Then it won’t sound so crazy to ask for a picture- you want to remember him years from now! Right?

I’m trying to.  He’s really nice but seems quiet.  I’m quiet till you get to know me.  And yeah, I am sort of an introvert and need space (this open/cube office dealy-o isn’t the best), but I’m trying to make him welcome in our little corner (even though I’m next to the finance people.  ye gads.).

And who knows?  He might really like it here and want to stay.  :)

Maybe tomorrow I’ll ask him to coffee.

kellyakabilly replied to your post: Two days done this week.

If you want to do us all a favor, you’ll get a picture of him. :-D

    Oh.  Dear.

    Yeah, I should do that.

I’ll have to be sneaky though.

    (via i-dream-of-gene)

    Two days done this week.

And I have a new neighbor.  Well, two, really.

Some people moved in across the hall from me in the apartment complex.  They seem ok, if not a bit strange… they moved in at night-ish (like after 8) but I don’t know if they work late and are trying to move after work.  If so, that sucks and I don’t fault them for moving in so late.

    BUT.

What I really want to tell about.

    Ahem.

Everyone here knows I work at Chrysler.  Well, Chrysler is a part of Fiat now.  There are loads of people from Italy here.

One moved across the aisle from me.

He’s new to the US and doesn’t speak English really well.

He’s also very good looking.  He’s here for a year.

    :)

So, work is somewhat better for me now that I have an extremely good looking neighbor who likes tea and coffee and music.  I don’t think I want to move into the AFP cube right yet.  Heee!
